*edit* Needs to be noted that it wont boot an HDMI out. Not even the internal recovery console. Its been a crap storm trying to get it to boot for the PC w drivers. The only method that worked was powering the IV, then holding down the reset switch while connecting to USB port on PC. Instructions
1. Download the firmware and unpack it to a folder. (Download firmware at this webpage)
2. Plug in the power adapter for NEO X7, and connect it to a Windows PC via the OTG cable that came with the box.
[OTG port on NEO X7]<---------- Micro USB cable ---------->[USB2.0 on Windows PC]
3. On the back of the NEO X7, there's a 'RECOVER' button in the hole, please use a paper clip inserted into the hole until you feel a distinct resistance.
Do not release it, and turn on the device while holding the power button and release after 5 to 7 seconds.
4. Now Windows will try to install the driver, and it will fail. Then in the Device Manager, there's an unknown device. Manually install the appropriate drivers from the 'Driver' folder. (It depends on whether the Windows OS is 32 or 64 bit).
5. Run the flashing tool - RKBatchTool, You should be able to see a pink or green symbol. If it is pink, please repeat from step 2 to step 4.
6. When the symbol is green, it means RKBatchTool has detected the NEO X7, and you can load the image file (.img).
7. Select 'Restore', NOT 'Upgrade'.
8. The NEO X7 will restart after successfully upgrade the firmware. This will take a couple of minutes, be patient.
9. Finished.
